NOTICED! Part 19: An Evening Walk

The autobiography of a woman; by Waldorfia

I offered a suggestion – – – obviously false grounds;  “It is getting stuffy in here. Let’s get some fresh air.”

Jason agreed and we stepped outside. A valet asked Jason “Your car sir?”

Jason  answered “No. Just the keys. We will enjoy the evening air.”

Jason placed the keys in his pocket and we walked side by side. Somehow he had placed his hand in mine without my noticing. I did not pull my hand back once I realized what had happened. As we walked down the row of parked automobiles I attempted to guess what Jason would be driving. He surprised me when he didn’t stop near any car. He made the bend at the end of the row and walked up the next row.

“It really was stuffy in there” he said. Continuing on he commented “Let’s get a little more air.”

We walked in silence as the next row of cars slowly disappeared behind us.

Finally Jason said “I know a much nicer place to get some fresh air. Are you game?”

I smiled and in my most confident manner said “Sure.”
